Dating back to the 14th century, the hotel offers a unique mix of old and new, and has been carefully renovated over the past few years. Treat yourself to a drink in the Kloster Lounge and Bar (open Thursday to Saturday) or enjoy a tasty meal in the Taverne restaurant, serving Swiss and international cuisine.

There is an imposing traditional restaurant overlooking the gardens at the rear and serving breakfast and evening meals. The wooden and leather bar is popular with guests and locals alike, due to its cosy atmosphere. The restaurant remains open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Part of the building dates back to the 13th century, but a new, modern wing has recently been added with conference facilities, overlooking the gardens. A plaque indicating Lord Byron and Felix Mandelssohn once stayed there hangs near the entrance!
The rooms are medium-sized. All rooms are renovated and non-smoking. They are equiped with tea/coffee making facilities, cable-TV, safe, Internet, bath/shower and hari dryer.
