The historically restored Johannesburg hotel, the Sunnyside Park Hotel has been completely refurbished to capture the elegance and charm of a by-gone era. Built in 1895 in a Victorian-style, the hotel is centrally located providing the business executive and the leisure traveller with easy access to the Johannesburg CBD, Rosebank, Sandton and the Johannesburg International Airport.
The hotel has a large bright restaurant offering an a la carte menu as well as an extensive list of South African wines. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Built in 1859 and originally a grand residential estate, the Sunnyside Park is a beuatiful colonial building. Only 2 stories tall, this listed building has kept all its original features including high ceilings, sash windows and is surrounded by the landscaped gardens.
All of the rooms are very spacious, have en-suite bathrooms and large comfortable beds. The rooms are decorated with original pictures from the turn of the 19th century and have whicker chairs and a writing desk. The rooms have a pleasant relaxed feel to them and good facilities including satellite TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, trouser press and PC modem points. 24 hour room service is also available.
