I have stayed at the Hotel Czar Lisboa several times and have had very positive experiences with the accommodation and the hotel staff. The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of shops and supermarkets, where you can always buy something. The metro station is only a few minutes away.
Positive:
I was happy about my room (on the backyard and therefore very quiet), the breakfast buffet was plentiful and very varied. The staff, both at reception and the cleaning ladies were extremely friendly, polite and courteous. It couldn't be better.
Negative:
Some negative factors do not depend on the hotel or management. I'm thinking of the frequently changing groups of tourists passing through, who often behave noisily and inconsiderately.
For example, there was a kind of party going on in the room next door that lasted until 2 a.m. and I could hear everything about it because of the poorly soundproofed room. The problem of a transit hotel lies more in the structure. Many guests only stay for a short time and leave the impression of an elephant in a china shop at the breakfast buffet, for example. I admire the hotel staff, who are always on hand and put everything back in order with great patience.
Regarding the room furnishings - if I may say so frankly - the furniture could occasionally be renewed. Some parts, especially made of wood, are a bit worn out due to frequent (and probably not very careful) use. Otherwise the rooms are well equipped. I was happy about the fridge and the nice shower. A small damage in the shower was repaired immediately on my notice.
