It was built as a shelter for those who needed to go to the south bank of the river Tagus, running away from Lisbon and its epidemic diseases caused by the 1755 earthquake and its consequences spread in and around the city for about fifty years.Carefully transformed and remodelled according to the original, it has 7 studios and 1 suite, decorated with period furniture and the typical atmosphere of the noble Portuguese house. All rooms are equipped with kitchenette, air conditioning, direct dial telephone and satellite TV.
