Mykonos Town (also called Chora), approx. 1.8 km/1.1 miles to the south, is a picturesque town famous for its nightlife. Also worth a visit is the 14th-century monastery of Panagia Tourliani in the inland village of Ano Mera. Tourlos is approx. 1.4 km/0.9 mile from the ferry terminal at the old port of Mykonos and 4.5 km/2.8 miles from Mykonos Island National Airport.
