The Avithos Resort hotel, a new complex built in traditional Kefalonian style, first opened its doors in the summer of 2004. Beautifully located on the west coast of Kefalonia, Greece, looking directly over to Zakynthos, the property lies at the outskirts of Avithos village, an area renowned for it's wonderful sandy beach. This 3 star hotel at the Greek Ionian Sea offers a combination of studios and apartments, each providing the same exceptionally high standards and facilities. The entrance to the complex leads you to the reception and, through lawned gardens and flower beds, the paths sweep around the pool directly to the accommodations, located around the perimeter of the resort. Designed and built with quality and comfort in mind, the family run property is situated in a very secluded area, so you won't find any noise or traffic intrusion during your seaside holiday in Greece, yet the resort is neither difficult to find nor to explore from. Avithos Resort Hotel is open from April to October.

The studios offer a separate bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer. The kitchenette area is equipped with an electric cooker and a microwave oven, and kettles and fridges are also provided. Each studio has its own balcony or terrace, depending on whether it is on the ground floor or first floor, and facilities include a direct dial telephone, a safety deposit box, double beds and individually regulated air conditioning and heating.
The complex features an outdoor swimming pool and a children's swimming area. Convenient refreshments can be found at the poolside snack bar and sun loungers are provided both by the pool and on the nearby sandy beach.

How to arrive
This family-friendly resort is situated in southern Kefalonia, close to Avithos beach. This is a lovely, fertile region where olive trees and citrus orchards abound. The coastline faces the tiny island of Dias and offers magnificent views to the island of Zakynthos across the channel. The resort's location makes an ideal setting for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. The nearby village of Svoronata is never crowded with tourists so there are no intrusive noises or sights to hamper your relaxation and private time. The resort is a perfect place for a holiday and an ideal base for exploring the island. The nearby villages of Kaligata, Kourkoumelata and Metaxata are charming local villages each with its own character and history. Guests will find restaurants within 200 metres of the accommodation, whilst shops are 1 km away. The beach resort of Lassi and the capital of Argostoli are 8 and 10 km away respectively. The airport is 3 km away and the transfer takes approximately 20 minutes.
