Actually, with the highway “Castilla A-62”, Ciudad Rodrigo has a perfect comunication with Salamanca( only 45 minutes by road ), Madrid( 2 hours and half by road ), and with Portugal( 15 minutes till the custom ).
If you arrive from Salamanca, you must take the first exit to Ciudad Rodrigo and go straight away for the old road to Portugal, and pass all the city. Then you have to go on the right when you see the indications of the hotel and "Conejera"
